The recreation of nature…
We have learned through years of trial and error (and sometimes accident) to mold, sculpt, paint, and stain cement to look and feel like rock. We take time to examine and understand nature, why and how certain formations occur and what grows naturally on and around our specimen. This is a huge part of our ability to mimic nature.
Our best faux rock pieces have been modeled after the natural surroundings of their final resting places, because this is what makes sense. Many people are amazed to find out that the looming red and lava rock pieces in round-a-bouts or large rock entrances to communities are, in fact, faux rock. They fit so well into their surroundings that they don't stand out, but simply enhance the scenery.
